1. Data controller

2. What data we collect
We process the following categories of data:
- Account data: name or nickname, email address, encrypted password, profile picture if you upload one, language and date of registration.
- Listing data: titles, descriptions, photos, price and category of the items you post.
- Communication data: messages you send through the in-app chat, including any images you attach.
- Review data: ratings and comments you leave or receive.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, operating system, device identifier, usage data and access logs.
- Approximate location data: only if you choose to indicate your city or enable location to see nearby listings.
3. How we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- To create and maintain your account and let you log in.
- To publish your listings and show them to other users.
- To enable communication between buyer and seller through the chat.
- To display your public profile (name, picture, reviews, active listings).
- To moderate content and prevent fraud, abuse or breaches of our terms.
- To handle your queries and notify you of relevant changes to the service.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To improve the app through aggregated usage analysis and internal statistics.
4. Legal basis
We rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): where the data is necessary to provide the service you requested.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): for content moderation, fraud prevention and platform security.
- Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): for example, tax obligations or responses to authorities.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for optional purposes such as push notifications or, where applicable, marketing communications. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers (for example, Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your data while your account is active and, after closure, for the periods needed to comply with legal obligations and address possible claims. Deleted chat messages and listings may be kept for a limited period in technical backups before they are permanently erased.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The Usadoo website uses a small number of technical cookies needed for it to work. If in the future we use analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your prior consent through a banner in line with the Spanish LSSI and the Spanish DPA cookie guidance.
9. Your rights
As a data subject you have the right to:
- Access the data we process about you.
- Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request the deletion of your data when it is no longer needed.
- Object to processing or request its restriction in certain circumstances.
- Receive your data in a structured format and have it transmitted to another controller.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing.
10. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@usadoo.es. We may ask you to prove your identity. If you consider that we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit, access controls, activity logs and backups. No measure is fail-proof, but we do what is reasonable to minimise risks.
12. Minors
Usadoo is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly process data of minors. If we identify an account belonging to a minor, we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our processing activities or applicable law change. We will let you know through the app or by email before the changes take effect.
